Man, Woman Charged After Dispute Gets Physical In New Canaan Parking Lot

Two are facing criminal charges after a verbal dispute turned physical in a New Canaan parking lot, police said.

Shortly after 9 p.m. on Saturday night, members of the New Canaan Police Department were dispatched to a Lakeview Avenue apartment complex, where there was a report of a domestic dispute in the area.

Police said that their investigation found that there was a fight between a man and woman that became physical. They subsequently arrested Hadiya Bowles, a 25-year-old New Canaan woman, and Nicholas Bowles, 29, also of New Canaan, on several charges.

Each was charged with disorderly conduct and breach of peace. Hadiya was additionally charged with third-degree assault. Both were released on their own recognizance and are due back in court on Monday to answer the charges.
